What is a Magisterra Fellow?
A Magisterra Fellow is a talented student in music studying formally at the undergraduate level who demonstrates promise as a professional instrumentalist and desires to gain hands-on professional performance experience.
Magisterra Fellows receive free intensive, high-quality training through rehearsals and coachings, and are featured in both our public concerts and educational outreach performances. Fellows have the opportunity to polish and perform repertoire in a variety of venues, and learn to respond to the variables and demands of a career in performance.
How do I become a Magisterra Fellow?
Magisterra Fellows are selected based on merit and must receive a formal invitation from the artistic director. Magisterra Fellows operate as apprentices within the ensemble and neither have to pay any dues nor receive any remuneration for their work with the group.
